1 The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;

2 for he founded it on the seas

and established it on the waters.

3 Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? 4 The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god.[a] 5 They will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God their Savior. Psalm 24:1-5

I am incomplete AWE of God. I know that I say that a lot, but in the last week or so I have had a chance to really step back and reflect on the power of God. I had the chance to go to the beach at night with my family, which is the best time for a fair-skinned ginger like myself. But it really showed me a different perspective that life still continues to move forward even when there are not 100's of people on the beach. All of the distractions were removed and I just closed my eyes and listened to the power of God. With every breaking wave and every gust of wind, I was reminded that I am just a passenger of this place called Earth and I looked out over the waters and realized that there was probably someone on the other side of this vast ocean possibly looking back at me. I thought through the process of how in the world can we NOT believe that God is in control of all things. With the many miracles each day that just keep us alive in this world, from the rotation of the Earth, the law of gravity, the ozone layer, the exact distance that we are from the sun to even have the possibility of life, the ability of everything to produce oxygen which we need to live... I mean I could go on and on, and you know that I could.

I really think about those kind of things when I continue to hear about the unrest and chaos that is in the world. When Covid gets closer and closer to all of us and we are like should I wear a mask or not? Should I continue to go about my daily life or do I need to once again

go into a type of hibernation state to protect myself and the ones that are around me on a consistent basis. And I really wish that I could give you that answer but I cannot. WHY? Because we are literally living into the time where we have to fully trust God in the discernment of what we need to do. We have to step into His promises and realize that if we live or die... if we are given one more opportunities, then we need make the most of it to share the Gospel and step into life. I am not saying that we need to do whatever we want and I am not living into a YOLO lifestyle. What I AM saying is that we have to live into the power and the authority of God. God has given us all discernment and in some ways wisdom to be able to think through and make a rational decision on all matters. Does that mean that we are going to make all the right decisions...NO, but it does mean that we have a God that is ready to walk beside us through the triumphs and the struggles. I know I sound like a resounding GONG... but I have to be honest... I believe that GOD has the ultimate authority and if I live or die in the next day I will continue to profess HIS authority over this world, over this virus, over this government, and over my life.

David was able to experience both the highs and the lows of God's authority in his life. There were times that David messed up big time and times where God used David to show God's authority. I mean this was the kid that was able to sleigh the physical giants in his life and then in the blink of an eye allowed the evil to attack his eyes and heart and caused him to lead another person to their death for his personal gain. This is the same person who's bloodline is marked with Christ's. This is the one who stepped into the uncertainty when his life was threatened by King Saul and then showed the discernment of a King when he had the opportunity to kill him and allowed him to live. All of this was in God's plan and authority. God who lives outside the timelines of our lives can see the beginning and the end. God has provided for us an opportunity to come and experience HIS presence in our lives if we are willing to step towards him with humility, clean hands and a pure heart. Here David is saying that we have been called to step towards God with honesty, with purity, and in humility we stand on the mountain of God to see the world through HIS eyes.

We will receive all that God has intended for us... why? Because HE is the MASTER and CREATOR of ALL. He has the total AUTHORITY to do ALL THINGS. There is nothing left that God has to prove to the world, but it is all about us finally accepting that God is the AUTHORITY over ALL. So do you believe? Do yo believe in the time of political chaos... in the middle of a global pandemic that the our GOD is in control? If you don't... why? Has He not proven to be who He claims to be in your life? I just hope and pray that we are not a people who only lives a conditional faith with God, but ones that live a sold out life DAILY believing that HE is our CHAMPION and is going to be here until the end. The decision is

not God's, because remember God does not need us to accomplish ANYTHING, but God allows us to be a part of the story. God gives us the choice to step in and live out our lives for Him. It is not a decision that we should take lightly because God did not take lightly the decision to send His Son to provide a way for the world to be redeemed. It is now our time to come with clean hands and a pure heart and to shout from the top of the mountain of faith who God is and that we believe that HE IS IN FULL CONTROL. We have to realize that EVIL will continue to exist and try to change our decision of who has the authority in our lives and in this world. So buckle up... the battle is and has been at hand, but we know the ONE who is going to win in the end. History has shown God's glory, the present will show God's glory and the one's who will come behind us, they too will experience the GLORY of GOD's AUTHORITY. All means ALL... not just partial control. May we really recognize the true power of God in our lives and in this world.
