"Faith is being SURE of what we HOPE for and CERTAIN of what we DO NOT SEE"

Hebrews 11:1

Today is a FAITH day.. Today, I would love for all of our students to take a minute and text out your favorite Bible verse to 10 people... 1 of them being ME. Why? Why do we want to waste our time doing something like that... CONNECTION. It is amazing to watch how our faith grows during a time of fear. I know that if I find myself in a situation that fear overcomes me, the first person I go to is GOD. I take a moment, I breathe and I realize that I am no longer in control of the situation. The same is true in our current mess we are in. Even though we cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel and we are waking up each day to new NORMALS like online/homeschool... we are realizing that our FAITH in our relationships and the connection we need must first start with GOD. I know it is not the way you want to connect.. but here are some ways today that you guys can connect. FaceTime, Skype, Google Duo, and even ZOOM. Many of you are using these opportunities already, but I encourage you to reach out beyond your normal borders and connect with some people who may just need a simple hello or smile today. Second, Gaming... Yeah I know.. many of you don't do that or many of you have been doing that as soon as they announced social distancing. Realize that this too is a way to connect and even while you are fighting the other person a point of connection. Send a scripture via letter, email or text. In times when people see the walls beginning to close in on them, God may be using YOU to spread FAITH in another person's time of fear. I believe that we will continue to come out of this time even stronger. I pray that you join me as we continue to pray for the world. Facebook has literally become FAITHbook with the opportunity of churches and people to share God's story of grace, love and mercy. Maybe this is how the Gospel will reach the far ends of the world....HMMMMM.. Anyway, Love you today and know that my God is bigger than my situation, and my FAITH with continue to overcome my fear in ALL situations. Have a great day.

In His grip, Jason
