14 And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone.

1 Thessalonians 5:14

One of the toughest questions that we all have to answer one day is, "Do you want to get better?" It is something that many people battle with on a daily basis, but when it really comes to when the decision has to be made, many fade away. We love living in our current situations for the most part because we have accepted our situations and we really don't like change. So we would rather deal with our circumstances because it has become a part of our normal life. Even though it may still be harming us and causing us to really not be able to live to our fullest potential. We have accepted the diagnosis of our lives and we live with it.

So as we continue to takes steps each and every day to break down the layers of our lives and get back to the foundations of who we are, I have to ask another question. Are we really ready to see who we really are or what we have truly become because we have allowed the things in our lives to really drive us for so long? I know that may seem really weird today, especially at the point that some of us are only teenagers, but I want you to know that we have all picked up baggage from this world that has changed us and redirected our lives.

Some things have really pushed us towards God and other things have driven us to run away as fast as we can to get away from God's calling. So I step out and ask, "Is there a DOCTOR in the HOUSE?" Have we allowed Jesus to enter into our lives in such a way that HE is able to begin the healing process in our lives. When we refer to Jesus as the Great Physician or the Healer, we must understand that in context. YES, Jesus did heal many people and even Brough people back from the dead. But it was NOT the physical part of our lives that made Jesus the HEALER.

We must look at this from a different angle. As the HEALER, we are recognizing the fact of the power and ability that Jesus has to completely transform us from the inside out. We are never alone. God is always with us and directs our path, but the struggle is that we continue to battle to give God the opportunity to help. We fail to let it ALL go. We are willing to allow God into the parts of our lives that we really cannot handle, and we keep the small things to ourselves. Or on the flip side, some of us give God the small things because they really don't want to give God too much authority over our lives. We must be willing to allow GOD, JESUS, and the HOLY SPIRIT to step into our house. Not just the physical dwelling that our family lives in, but into OUR HOUSE. OUR HEARTS.... OUR LIVES.. Yes our physical dwelling places need to be handed over as well, but if we are able to give authority of the HEARTS of the people in the HOUSE then the DOCTOR has entered into the house.

Today, and every day will be a struggle. It really will. There are days that we continue to think are we even making a difference at all. Does our lives matter. Do the small things amount to any real change at all? YES.. See by even reading or hearing those words, that is satan trying to once again enter into the house. Satan is like a small mouse who is able to contort their bodies and really squeeze into the house from the smallest places. Look at the Scripture again, And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. We are called to help reenforce the foundations of the house. You know the practice in biblical days was that the

man who was to be married, spent a year preparing the part of the house that would be the starting point of his family. Most times that part of the house was attached to the family home. It was attached to the main dwelling as a part of support for the family. The same is true when Jesus references the fact that in his Father's house there are many rooms and he is going to go and prepare a place. Jesus is in a time of preparation to bring the family back into the HOUSE of GOD! BUT and yes there is a but. We have to be willing to humble ourselves and ask for HELP. If we ask for help without really being ready to receive it, it will bounce right off of us. It will continue to cause us to miss the healing that the FATHER... the DOCTOR is willing to provide to help fortify the HOUSE of GOD.
