Staying Ignited

Scripture: "Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for OUR GOD IS A CONSUMING FIRE."Hebrews 12:28-29

Hey guys, today I just want to write specifically to you and let you know God is in control. I know that there has been a lot of changes over the last week to our lives, but God is preparing us to really grow stronger in our faith and in out connection. The scripture today is our signature scripture for our entire student ministry and I hope and pray that today you pause and realize that God is in control. God is providing for us opportunities to truly reach out to the world through social media in a way that has never been thought of before. God is providing us opportunities to take a breath and get back to making the MAIN THING, God, the MAIN THING again in our lives. The word social distancing is really hard on all of us, but it allows us to really refocus and take a moment to breathe in the beauty of God. It allows us to see the importance of hanging out with friends, and it really allows us to miss the things in life that we have taken for granted... and yes that too means school. It allows us to take a moment and forget about all of the chaos that has been in our lives with our crazy schedules and take in the beauty of God's tapestry that surrounds us on a daily basis. I know that it is uncertain when we may physically meet again, but one thing that is for certain, NOTHING can stop the CONSUMING FIRE that is GOD! I know that this virus seems to be spreading at a rate no one can understand, but also realize that through this time, God is being shared all over the world at a faster pace than the spread of COVID-19. God's Kingdom cannot be shaken, and we are a strong part of that Kingdom. Breathe... Pause.... and know that we are planning on finding ways to connect with each other. We stand in AWE because of a God that is about to IGNITE a fire in us that cannot be quenched. I'm looking forward to reaching out to you again each day and offering you maybe a minute or two of guidance in the midst of the storm. We are IGNITE student ministries, and we will continue to stand in the AWE of God as we watch families changing ONE student at a time. Love you guys.. See you tomorrow.

In His grip,

Jason
